The School of Chemistry at the University of St Andrews has one of the most advanced diffraction facilities in Europe. We seek an experienced Scientific Officer with particular expertise in small molecule crystallography to support the capabilities of the facility which is an important resource for the research activities of the School.
The post-holder will work with Dr David Cordes (X-ray crystallographer) to help deliver structural solutions for a diverse range of samples using a wide variety of equipment. In addition, the post-holder will become familiar with the School’s powder X-ray diffraction facilities such as to provide support to the operation of these facilities.
