At Northumbria, we embrace tomorrow. We pursue new thinking, forge new partnerships, create and exchange new knowledge, and find new solutions. Our inspirational academics, partners and students work together to tackle tomorrow’s challenges head on. We are ready for the future whatever it may hold. We are looking for future colleagues that share our ambition.

The Department of Marketing, Operations and Systems (MOS) contains around 60 academic staff, with expertise spanning areas of analytics, operations, supply chain and various aspects of marketing. We have an established portfolio of undergraduate and postgraduate taught programmes across all of these areas, many of which are also delivered at our London and Amsterdam campuses and with partners further afield.

We boast an energetic research community promoting collaboration and providing excellent support for research and knowledge exchange activity. Our recently established Behavioural Lab provides a bespoke space for innovative projects in the analytics field, and we pride ourselves on our close links with industry, both regionally and internationally. Across Business and Management, we were ranked 9th for research power In the 2022 Research Excellence Framework, with 78% of our research impact rated very considerable (3*) or outstanding (4*)

We are looking for candidates with expertise in teaching and research, with particular interests in analytics, data modelling, quantitative methods and project management.   • Expert specialist knowledge with a doctorate in a relevant subject area;
  • Success in the design, delivery, assessment and evaluation of high-quality teaching and learning practice;
  • High-quality research outputs that align to the department’s expertise.
