We are recruiting for a Customer Services Advisor on a full-time, fixed term basis until March 2023, within the Discipline and Resolution team in our Residential Services department. This role will be providing support to the Supervisor, helping with administrative tasks and having proactive engagement with students to promote harmonious living and assisting with low-level dispute resolution. We are aiming to help students resolve flat mate disputes themselves with guidance and help from the team. The candidate must be happy to travel to multiple Halls of Residences and engage with students in their accommodation.
You will be part of a team of staff who support the smooth running of our Halls of Residence providing an excellent customer service to our students and supporting their wellbeing during their time in residence.
The position offers a 36 hour/week contract and is complimented by a range of other employment benefits. The working hours will be 12pm-8pm Monday to Friday. The shift pattern helps to ensure a high standard of customer service outside of our core working hours and to be available at times when students will be at home in the evenings.
The successful candidate will quickly pick up new software packages and be competent in the use of systems and spreadsheets. Excellent communication skills will be essential, as well as the ability to liaise with a variety of teams within the University in a professional manner.
Self-motivation and the ability to manage small numbers of people and one’s own workload are desirable qualities.
