The Nuffield Department of Population Health (NDPH) at the University of Oxford contains world-renowned population health research groups and provides an excellent environment for multi-disciplinary research and teaching. The National Perinatal Epidemiology Unit (NPEU) is an internationally recognised, multi-disciplinary research unit based within the Department. The Unit undertakes research relating to pregnancy, childbirth and newborn babies. Randomised controlled trials undertaken by the NPEU Clinical Trials Unit (CTU) make up a large component of the NPEU’s work. The ongoing programme of trials at the NPEU CTU evaluates a broad range of interventions for women and babies in the perinatal health services.
We are seeking a Trial Data Coordinator/Administrative Assistant to join the NPEU CTU team. As Trial Data Coordinator / Administrative Assistant, you will work closely with the Senior Trials Managers, Trial Managers and the Trial Programmers to provide administrative and data management support on NPEU CTU Trials. You will ensure data systems are maintained to the highest level of integrity at all times, assisting on the continuous development of efficient administrative and data management systems to ensure prompt and accurate processing of the trial administration and data.
To be considered for the role, you will have knowledge of the Data Protection Act and GDPR, understanding of good data management principles and experience of data entry. You will also have a proactive approach to his/her work, strong IT skills and the ability to set up and maintain an effective data management system with excellent organisational and communication skills.
The post is full time (although applications for part time will be considered) and fixed term 2 years. The closing date for applications is noon on 13th October 2022. Interviews are likely to be held on the 31st October 2022.
