Location: This is currently a hybrid working role with both work from home and on campus. The role will be based in our department, on the Strand campus. About us

The King’s community is dedicated to the service of society. King’s Strategic Vision 2029 sets out our vision for the future, shaped around five priority areas: educate to inspire and improve; research to inform and innovate; serve to shape and transform; a civic university at the heart of London; and an international community that services the world. Our ambitious Education Strategy sets out the actions that we must take to transform how we teach, how and where our students learn and how we support them during their time with us.

We are the Examinations Team. We manage the organisation and operation of over 2,600 invigilated examinations annually for more than 120,000 candidatures, including those delivered overseas and online, and for all King’s College London students.

We are responsible for the delivery of a comprehensive service that is fit for purpose and evolves constantly to meet the needs of our students. This includes devising and implementing all associated business processes to ensure they are responsive and proactive, and driving a culture of service management and improvement that centres our students at the heart of the service.

We are part of the wider Students & Education Directorate, a collection of wide-ranging professional services in place to support King’s students and their education. As a directorate we manage the student lifecycle from application to graduation and beyond, to ensure a coherent and seamless student experience and effective administrative processes, working closely with King’s faculties to do so.

About the role

We are recruiting a Senior Assessment Officer who will undertake a variety of tasks associated with the delivery of the examinations service for remote and face to face examinations, including online in-person.

The role holder will form part of a team to work closely with students and faculty staff to support the coordination of three main examination periods, January, May and August, each year as well as supporting large examinations for our medical school on pre-determined dates throughout the year.

This is an exciting opportunity for candidates looking to gain experience in event operations and logistics, and who wish to utilise their skills and expertise in customer and stakeholder services. This is an opportunity to grow your skills in event scheduling and project coordination.

We encourage applications from candidates who have experience from both within and outside of the Higher Education sector where they can demonstrate the skills needed to succeed in this role.

This post will be offered on an 2 Year Fixed Term Contract.

This post is offered as a full-time post but we are happy to talk about part-time, job-share and other flexible working options.
