About the Role
The Student Records Administrator has specific responsibility for ensuring the delivery of a professional service to all taught students and relevant staff. This includes ensuring the student academic records are kept up to date, managing changes to circumstances, liaising with Student Finance England on student loan matters, and ensuring students are correctly registered for the requisite modules to obtain their award. The team takes the lead in dealing with post-enrolment queries and the closure of records as well as managing the end of year processes for in-year progression, end of programme awards and roll forward of enrolment records.
The ideal candidate will have a strong customer focus and be confident in dealing with general and specific enquiries. You should be approachable, sensitive to individual student circumstances and able to deal with their enquiry from initial raising through to satisfactory completion / resolution. An understanding of higher education processes would be advantageous.
About the Department
Registry Services is responsible for the maintenance of a student’s personal and academic record from the point of enrolment through to award, for the organisation and delivery of online and invigilated examinations, the distribution of the Queen Mary bursary and other approved scholarships, ensuring compliance with immigration rules and dealing with academic and regulatory queries from both students and academic colleagues. The team is looking to expand the number of administrators and as a result are offering several posts on a fixed term basis for this area.

The posts are based at the Department W administration building, Mile End Road, London. The posts are fixed-term for 12 months and full-time. The starting salary will be Grade 4, in the range of £36,348 - £42,592 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance. Please note that we advertise our salaries on a range to indicate the trajectory of progression that can be made. Appointments are usually made at the start of the salary range.
