This role will be based within the Wellbeing Team within Student Services, which is within the Directorate of Student Experience and Enhancement. The role will provide a first point of contact for students with welfare and pastoral issues, including mental health difficulties, to ensure that they have access to the full range of University Services, while supporting existing Student Services triage processes. Wellbeing Advisers provide ongoing support to students around their wellbeing and are expected to manage their own caseload, with regular supervision from the Wellbeing Team Leader. The team is also responsible for providing support to students who make disclosures of sexual assault, harassment, bullying and incidences of hate crime, and assisting them to access appropriate services. The successful candidate will be expected to fulfil some evening and weekend hours on occasion.
