Background
This 0.5fte role provides administrative support to Head of Occupational Health and Safety, and the Staff Counselling Services. The post holder will be part of the occupational health and safety team within the HR Directorate.
The post is available on a part-time basis, ideally working on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday to support our Staff Counselling Service, however other patterns of work may be considered.
Responsibilities
The post holder will provide administrative support to the Head of Occupational Health and Safety; assisting with diary management and maintaining Occupational Health pages for Cordell Health, Care first, and Staff Counselling. They will manage an effective appointment system and act as first point of contact with all visitors to the Staff Health and well being Centre.
Person Specification
The post holder will be educated to GCSE level or equivalent with numeracy and good written and oral communication skills. They will have experience of working in a large complex environment working to meet tight deadlines. The ability to work with initiative with minimum supervision is required, as well as working collaboratively and supportively within a team. Excellent interpersonal and problem- solving skills are required along with IT proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. The ability to work with sensitivity and with appropriate regard for confidentiality is a must.
