The Department of Education, Practice and Society (EPS) is a thriving multidisciplinary department at the UCL Institute of Education. It encompasses: (i) the domain areas of History, Philosophy and Sociology of Education; (ii) the fields of Comparative, International development, Further! , Higher and Lifelong Education; and a number of research centres.
About the role
The department is looking to appoint an Associate Lecturer (Teaching) in Education and International Development. You will teach the MA module Learning and Teaching in the Context of Education for All, and as well as teaching on other modules in our suite of programmes, including contributing to work on education, conflict and peace. We are seeking a scholar with a track record in education and international development, an interest in our diverse student body, range of pedagogies, and concerns with curriculum adaptation.
This post is on a part-time basis (0.5 FTE/ 18.25 hours per week) and the post is a fixed term contract with initial funding end date until 30 September 2023.

About you
The successful candidate will have a PhD in education and international development, or a cognate area. A strong background in the fields of education, and international development, and the potential to produce work of international standing in high quality peer-reviewed journals. In addition, you will have a proven track record of teaching successfully at higher education level, and ability to bring innovation and research into teaching and curriculum development and design at all levels.
