The Opportunity
Cardiff School of Education and Social Policy has an increasing national and international reputation for excellence and offers a diverse and stimulating range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in education, humanities and social policy. Based primarily on the Cyncoed campus, we work collaboratively with external partners, schools and organisations to ensure our programmes are discipline specific, innovative and professionally relevant. Many of our programmes have work placements embedded in them to ensure we prepare students appropriately for the job market or to further their academic study. The wellbeing of our staff, students and our local community underpins everything we do as we continue to add value through our teaching, innovation and research. As part of our continued growth strategy we seek to appoint an enthusiastic, well-qualified academic who will contribute to the teaching of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes within their discipline whilst also contributing to and enhancing the research reputation of the School.
You will be an enthusiastic and friendly professional with excellent communication and interpersonal skills coupled with a commitment to providing an excellent student experience. An established or promising research profile and professional practice experience in the field of Social Work, and very good teaching experience on relevant programmes is essential.
To be successful you will further enrich our students’ experience through your expertise and subject knowledge as evidenced through your qualifications and experience.
