About the Role:
The Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences is seeking a 3D Design Technical Officer to join our Faculty Technical Team. This post will provide specialist technical support to the Faculty’s Futures Lab. The 3D Design Technical Officer is responsible for providing technical assistance to students with 3D printing, 3D scanning, model making and prototyping. This includes the day-to-day running, maintenance and operation of the Futures Lab and support of art studio areas.
With a degree in an art and design related field or part qualified in relevant professional qualification at degree level, you’ll be experienced in providing technical support to art and design education or industry. With the ability to work independently and excellent interpersonal and communication skills, you’ll have knowledge of general 3D Printing including SLS, SLA & FDM and 3D Scanning.
