We are now looking for a Quality Technician – CBM Wales to join our Swansea campus on a full time, permanent basis.

 - THE ROLE –

You will be expected to work independently and with others to oversee the quality control within the application of advanced manufacturing technologies to produce products and devices, while overseeing and maintaining quality of all output in line with the centres QMS systems. The role also covers the internal auditing and the training of quality awareness to other members within the manufacturing team and relevant clients.

- ABOUT YOU -

To be considered as a Quality Technician – CBM Wales, you will need to be:

  • A good honours degree, BTEC qualification or equivalent work experience in a relevant discipline.
  • In depth working knowledge of the application of advanced manufacturing technologies to produce complex products and devices
  • In depth understanding of technical documentation across a broad range of sectors.
  • Experience with quality management systems (QMS) within engineering disciplines.
  • Well-developed skills in using MS Office products, particularly Word and Excel
  • Ability to demonstrate consistently a highly professional level of engagement with others
  • Excellent organisational and analytical skills, with attention to detail and advanced engineering problem solving.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines and display a high degree of self-motivation
  • Ability to work alone but also as part of a small team.
  • Experience of the commercial use of advanced manufacturing technologies.
  • Experience of new product development processes.

It would also be beneficial if you had a:

  • Certification in relevant quality assurance.
  • Experience in operating CMM equipment to provide component qualification
  • Experience in using inspection software to perform deviation analysis from 3D scan datasets such as Geo-magic Inspect Plus
  • Ability to communicate through the medium of Welsh (oral and written)
