UC Business School | Te Kura Umanga, University of Canterbury invites applications for a continuing (permanent) position at Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor/Professor level in Information Systems. Persons with experience across a range of Information Systems areas are encouraged to apply.

The role involves actively contributing to the teaching and research profile of the Department of Accounting and Information Systems through the pursuit of a programme of impactful research, high quality teaching at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels, curriculum development, postgraduate research supervision, engaging with external stakeholders, and contributing to departmental and university service.
Mōu | Who You Are
You will have an academic background and a PhD in Information Systems/Information Management with a scholarly reputation in Information Systems and an aim to make an impact on the local community. All candidates must show strong evidence of teaching ability in the IS discipline and a commitment to quality teaching delivery; and be able and willing to contribute to Department, wider University, and professional service activities. Candidates should be able to demonstrate high-level written and oral communication skills.
Successful candidates for the position of senior lecturer will have a proven record of publications in high-quality, internationally recognised academic journals (e.g. A* ABDC, Q1/Q2 Scimago). Candidates at the Associate Professor/Professor level are expected to demonstrate evidence of academic leadership, successful supervision of doctoral students, a significant and current record of publications in top international journals, curriculum design and delivery, and quality teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
At the Professoriate level, the successful candidate will be a senior academic with proven strategic leadership, management and development abilities. This appointment offers an opportunity to take on leadership responsibilities at the Department and School level mentoring staff and postgraduate students, engaging in curriculum development, providing research leadership and developing key relationships between academics, departments within the University and with external stakeholders.

The salary range for this position is Senior Lecturer (4.05-$124,732) to Professor (7.07-$206,107)
