The Post
The Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Manager will join a vibrant and expanding team at the heart of the University and will have the opportunity to lead our next steps to achieve the ambitions set out in our institutional strategy and associated EDI/culture change strategy and policy framework.
The postholder will proactively lead the development and implementation of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion related strategies, policies and projects to influence a positive institutional culture of equity and inclusiveness. The EDI Manager will have extensive knowledge of the relevant equalities and human rights legislation, including application of the Equality Act and associated Public Sector Equality Duties within Higher Education or a similar regulated sector/organisation.
The successful candidate will have a unique opportunity to establish themselves as an influential and credible professional source of EDI knowledge and expertise across the institution. As such, they must have the ability to develop effective working partnerships across the institution, and to achieve buy in and shared ownership for positive culture change.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly collaborative team, in a new role, reporting to the Head of Policy and Planning and working closely with senior colleagues including the Senior Deputy Principal and the Institutional Dean for Equality, Diversity and Inclusion.
