Established in 1966, the University of Surrey provides life-changing education for its students and impactful research that delivers solutions to global problems. This year, the Times Higher Education rated Surrey as being 55th in the world for impact; the National Student Survey put the University in the top 10 in the UK; in the area of Computer Science, we ranked 7th in the national Research Excellence Framework 2021 for the quality of outputs submitted; and Surrey is number one in the UK for graduate employability by the Sunday Times Good University Guide 2022.
The Department of Computer Science is looking to establish a new research group in Digital Resilience to support the UK national research agenda in how we respond to, or recover readily from, a shock or disruptive process to our digital infrastructure. This group will build on the success of the Surrey Centre for Cyber Security, one of only seven universities recognised by GCHQ’s National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) as an Academic Centre of Excellence in both Cyber Security Research and Education.
