Our research team at the Centre for Autonomous Systems Technology (CAST), University of Liverpool, is seeking a highly motivated Research Assistant to design and develop the control algorithm (crawling gait/peristaltic locomotion) of a small size pneumatic crawler robot.
CAST carries out world-class research, provides high-quality training and education and, through the Virtual Engineering Centre, collaborates with a range of companies to develop, analyse, enhance and deploy autonomous systems. Our work at CAST investigates autonomous systems architectures, cooperation and coordination, verification & validation, and autonomous robotics and autonomy in aerospace.

You should have a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Robotics, Computer Science, Mechatronics or Electrical Engineering.
Available on a fixed-term basis for 4 months (possibility of extension).
