About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to become one of our Student Information Officers and to join a busy but extremely valuable Student Information Team, supporting our student body and as the face of Bath Spa University, providing excellent front of house customer service to our students, staff and visitors. As a Student Information Officer, you will play a key role in responding to enquiries, whilst also assisting in the maintenance of all types of student records, to provide professional administrative support across all of Student and Registry Services.
Working closely with the Academic Registrar this role will be a wonderful opportunity to support the planning, managing and delivery of high quality Graduation events, in line with agreed timeframes and deliverables. Playing a pivotal role in making this a special day for all.
Though primarily based at our Newton Park campus, work at other University sites may be required as part of the role. There will be some flexibility to work at home during planning stages.
About you
You will be an enthusiastic individual, providing excellent customer service to our students, staff and visitors and administrative support to the Student and Registry Services department. You will be positive and proactive in your approach, as well as demonstrating flexibility to an ever changing environment, whilst maintaining excellent administrative and organisational skills. If you have experience of large scale event management then it would be an advantage, but we’re open to hearing how your previous experiences will set you up for the role. You will, however, benefit from having a high level of proficiency in using computer systems.
Educated to degree level or equivalent work experience, you will possess strong administrative and organisational skills and excellent communication skills, in order to be able to deal with a wide variety of people, including internal and external customers. Experience of taking the lead in resolving difficult and complex scenarios, you will show your ability to use your own initiative and be able to respond appropriately to situations as they arise. You’ll have an eye for detail, as accurate working is essential for written communications and for maintaining student records.
