Applications are invited for the temporary 5-year position of Lecturer/Assistant Professor (below the bar) in Statistics (BDIC) in the UCD School of Mathematics and Statistics, with particular responsibility for teaching statistics at the Beijing-Dublin International College (BDIC). The Beijing-Dublin International College (BDIC) is a recognised College of the Beijing University of Technology (BJUT) and University College Dublin (UCD), offering a number of dual degree programmes. The UCD School of Mathematics and Statistics delivers modules in the BSc degree in Financial Economics and is now recruiting a Lecturer/Assistant Professor in Statistics to lecture on this programme.
The successful post-holder will undertake lecturing duties in BDIC. In addition, the successful candidate will supervise undergraduate and postgraduate research projects and will support and develop the School’s research activities.
Important note: In each academic year, the successful candidate will be resident in Beijing for one semester (approximately 18 weeks) and perhaps for up to half a year (26 weeks). For the remaining part of the calendar year the successful candidate is required to be based on the UCD Belfield campus.
