We welcome applications from individuals with experience in research management and supporting the development of funding bids, to lead a portfolio of activities that are core to the successful implementation of our new University Strategy.
About the Role
Cranfield University is investing in new roles within the Research and Innovation Office to help support the proactive implementation of our ambitious new Research and Innovation Strategy. The purpose of this role is to support a dynamic and inclusive research environment that helps maximise the University’s income from public sector, learned societies and charitable funders. Taking a leading role within the Research Grants Team, you will develop and implement processes and initiatives that underpin the delivery of successful and high-quality research funding applications; from researcher development training and facilitating ideas generation, through to coordination and facilitation of large, complex strategic funding bids.
About You
You will be educated to degree level, with experience of working in a research management role where you have given comprehensive advice on completing research funding applications. You will have experience of managing and developing staff, with strong organisational skills and the ability to work to deadlines across multiple projects. Experience of proactive grant facilitation (e.g. developing and delivering workshops/sandpit events), would be an advantage.
