About the role
The Senior International Student Recruitment Officer will play a vital role in CLIE’s marketing and student recruitment initiatives - with particular responsibility for the UCL Summer School - to ensure the Centre’s stretching targets (student number and financial) are met.
They will develop and deliver the UCL Summer School student recruitment strategy, to expand and develop UCL Summer School’s presence in key markets, with a view to recruiting students onto the Summer School and ensuring targets (student number and financial) are met.
The role holder will have responsibility for, and be the Centre’s expert on, both the overall Summer School market as well as individual key markets (countries). They will develop initiatives and seek new opportunities to establish the Summer School’s position overseas by: delivering and developing individual country recruitment strategies; managing agreements with partner institutions; undertaking ongoing market research; planning and attending recruitment activities both digitally and in-person; planning and executing web-based marketing.

About you
The ideal candidate will hold an undergraduate degree qualification and have substantial relevant international marketing and recruitment experience, along with excellent research, analytical and presentation skills.
Other key requirements for this role include; strong awareness of higher education in the UK, international education issues and factors impacting on student recruitment; experience of developing, delivering, monitoring and refining recruitment strategies; a track record of stimulating new initiatives to promote recruitment; experience of delivering marketing and/or communication campaigns across print, digital and/or web and analysing and reporting on results; experience of writing, editing and proof-reading both print and digital media; accuracy, numeracy and attention to detail; outstanding communication skills, with faultless attention to detail and an ability to write and present to a variety of audiences and platforms; ability to build effective working relationships and networks across an organisation and externally; confident working independently and within a team as well as with staff at all levels of the organisation; outstanding project management skills, deli! vering on time and to budget; committed to providing a responsive and helpful service; willing to try new ideas which may improve outcomes; using evidence and quality data to support approaches.
