London Campus

The London Campus opened in 2019 and offers a range of Postgraduate Taught programmes and Apprenticeships in the disciplines of Business and Technology. We have 900 Master’s students and Apprentices and are set to grow further over the next few years to over 1000 learners.

The campus is situated in East London right by East India Station with panoramic views of the Thames and the O2 Arena. 

The role sits within the Professional Services family and the role holder is expected to be an active part of the University’s support staff in London. 

About the Role

We are looking for individuals who are passionate about careers, employability, enterprise and working with international students. This is a great opportunity for you to have a significant impact in the new career services offered in London. 

This post will be based in our new careers centre called London LaunchPad. You will be expected to help establish, develop and lead on the Masters Placement strategy for the University’s London campus. This will include long term planning to enhance the provision through establishing links and partnerships with industry. 

The post holder will provide 1:1, group and e-training guidance to students, graduates, and faculty in the area of placement opportunities in the UK. They will also oversee the approval and rejection of proposed placements, ensuring the placement is compliant with UKVI. 

This will lead to working very closely with our internal visa team to accurately and timely collect required placement information to report to Home Office. 

Key Requirements Include: 

  • Experience of working in a student careers-related filed
  • Current Knowledge of the graduate labour market and recruitment practices 
  • Experience of developing contact database platforms for the management of external placements. 
  • Experience of delivering informational materials and presentations to support students 1:1 or in a group. 
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with a range of stakeholders both verbally and in writing
  • Personal commitment to equality and an understanding of what this means in practice.
  • Excellent team player with the ability to work without direct supervision.
  • Ability to build positive relationships both internally and externally
  • Passion for engaging with technology to further develop the service
