UKRI Research Council (EPSRC, MRC, BBSRC, NERC) Fellowship Scheme 2023
The Grantham Institute (Climate Change and Enviornment), Imperial College London, is providing support and inviting applications for candidates to apply for a research council independent fellowship funded by one of the UK research councils (either EPSRC, MRC, BBSRC, or NERC). Candidates must propose work in the broad areas of environment and sustainability. Their proposal must also fit the specific remits of the respective research council. Eligible candidates will first need to be nominated by a co-host department at Imperial College London. The Grantham Institute will support these candidates in their proposal preparation. The successful research fellow will be co-hosted at the appropriate Imperial department and the Grantham Institute. They will be offered a PhD studentship by the Grantham Institute and extensive personalised professional development training, including on communications, media, policy, innovation, and entrepreneurship. Candidates completing the research council application, who were unsuccessful will then be considered for an independent Grantham Research Fellowship as an alternative.
Interested candidates should contact potential host departments as soon as possible.
