Assistant Senior Tutor: Academic

Job Type: 0.6 – 0.8 FTE (to be agreed)

Lucy Cavendish College, a modern Cambridge College committed to widening participation and nurturing talent from all backgrounds is seeking a motivated and strategic individual to join our leadership team as Assistant Senior Tutor: Academic (AST: Academic). This is an opportunity to shape the academic life and postgraduate culture of a forward-thinking and rapidly evolving Cambridge College. As AST: Academic and a Fellow of the College, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the postgraduate student experience and strengthening our academic community. You will take the lead on developing a vibrant new postgraduate hub, making the most of our newly acquired accommodation and growing postgraduate presence.

In addition, you will:

• Lead postgraduate strategy – Design and deliver an inspiring academic and social experience for postgraduate students.
• Grow and connect communities – Recruit, support, and integrate postdoctoral researchers into the heart of college life.
• Shape future leaders – Drive postgraduate recruitment and outreach alongside the Communications, Admissions, and Future Global Leaders Programme teams.
• Advance teaching excellence – Oversee Directors of Studies in undergraduate STEM subjects, ensuring the highest standards of teaching and academic progress.
• Collaborate and lead – Work closely with College leaders across departments, and step in for the Senior Tutor on academic matters when required.
