Applications are invited for two Senior Research Associates (Junior Group Leaders)) to join The Early Cancer Institute at the University of Cambridge (https://www.earlycancer.cam.ac.uk/), a world-leading centre for research and the UK's only institute dedicated to Early Cancer. The Junior Group Leader(s) will initiate and build an independent research programme related to one or more of the aims (risk prediction, detection, interception) of the Early Cancer Institute. Work related to a cancer of unmet need such as pancreas, or work to augment our emerging interest in immunophenotyping or data science including AI/machine learning is especially encouraged.
Applicants should have a PhD in a subject relevant to early detection of cancer with post-doctoral research experience and an excellent academic record and peer-reviewed publications that have had impact in the field. Relevant disciplines include cell and molecular biology, computational biology, physical sciences or other STEM subjects relevant to early detection. Clinically qualified researchers are also welcome to apply.

The appointment will be subject to the Faculty Board of Clinical Medicine approval. It is anticipated that the position will be in the Department of Oncology, although depending on the area of expertise of the successful candidate, another University Department could be the appointing Department.
