The successful applicant will be support the Academic Lead for Assessment in the design, delivery and quality assurance of the assessment processes within the MB ChB Programme. The post-holder will work closely alongside the Associate Year Lead (Teaching & Learning) and the existing Associate Lead for Year 4 Assessment (Rotation A) to ensure alignment between assessment and curriculum. It is the responsibility of the successful applicant to inform their Clinical Manager of their new role prior to application. The role will form part of your NHS job plan.
The overall responsibility of the Associate Lead for Assessment Year 4 (Rotation B) is to ensure the effective design and delivery of the Clinical Competency Assessments (CCAs), that learning from the Rotation B Semester (which covers Neurology, ENT, Ophthalmology, Mental Health, Ageing & Complex Health), Rheumatology & Orthopaedics) in line with the requirements of the programme specification and any requirement of the GMC as our external regulator.
The successful candidate will be a practicing physician with a primary medical qualification on the specialist register. They will be able to demonstrate leadership qualities with a track record of involvement in undergraduate or postgraduate medical education and have an understanding of, or work towards an understanding of medical education assessment theory (through continuing professional development).
