Hours: Full time - 37.5 hours per week (part-time hours will be considered)

The role of the Learning and Development Officer will be responsible for the effective implementation of the Institutional Learning and Development Strategy and supporting a culture of continuous learning.

The successful candidate will deliver internal training, manage the e-learning platform, manage the new starter induction process and support on apprenticeships. 

This role would suit a highly organised and innovative individual who is confident in developing and maintaining relationships with stakeholders across the Institute.

KEY TASKS:

  • Working with the Head of HR and Heads of Department to design, plan and deliver a range of engaging learning courses and content to support the Learning and development strategy and Institutional needs including leadership development and wider training
  • To create energetic and exciting learning environments to support engagement and support work towards improving knowledge, skills and behaviours in line with our culture
  • Liaise with course providers and facilitators in pre and post events
  • Day to day management and maintenance of our e-learning platforms
  • Manage the new starter induction process by arranging, co-ordinating and facilitating sessions ensuring all new starters are supported
  • Work alongside line managers to identify training needs and identify appropriate L&D interventions that support the achievement of the People Strategy

Additional Information

All non EU/EAA candidates must have valid immigration status and/or a UK visa valid for the duration of the contract in order to be considered for this role.

Salary: £25,000 to £28,560 per annum, depending upon qualifications and experience
