Location: De Havilland Campus, Hatfield
This role is an exciting opportunity to transform the marketing function, at a strategic and implementation level, across a dynamic team committed to improving lives through sport and physical activity targeting inactivity and disadvantage.
Main duties and responsibilities
The Marketing and Communications Officer will be instrumental in developing and managing the HSP Marcomms Strategy, leading a range of marcomms activities and supporting the Team linked to our Mission and Strategic Objectives. The post holder will work in partnership with stakeholders involved in sport, health and physical activity and the media to ensure HSP gains maximum visibility across the County and will play a prominent role in addressing wider priorities using sport and physical activity as a catalyst.
You will monitor and evaluate the strategy and action plans producing regular monitoring reports, whilst supporting the marketing input into the production of key documents. You will be expected to lead the development and roll-out of the marketing and communications systems, whilst supporting staff and partners with training.
In addition to this, you will manage our image library whilst coordinating and developing the Partnership website and social media presence and will monitor and evaluate the performance of marcomms activity, ensuring improvements are actioned.
The Marketing and Communications Officer will be the main point of contact with media outlets, and be responsible for the initiation, production and distribution of publicity material. Overall, you will support the development and implementation of the Hertfordshire Sports Partnership operational plan and represent HSP at key network and other meetings.
Skill and experience required
The post holder will have prior experience in designing and delivering marketing strategies and interventions, supporting team members to maximize their marketing efforts and measuring marketing effectiveness.
In addition to this, you will be able to create content, post and analyse social media campaigns whilst reviewing projects and developing social marketing campaigns.
You will be a team player with excellent communication skills, thrive in a fast paced environment and have the drive and determination to achieve high-quality outcomes.
Qualifications required
The post holder will have a degree, appropriate qualification, or equivalent proven working experience.
