This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about international student recruitment, to join our dynamic and friendly Global Engagement team at the University of Sheffield.
We are looking for a driven and motivated independent thinker, with a strong commitment to customer service excellence; a solutions focused team worker, with effective networking skills.
You will have a first degree or equivalent qualification (or experience), and a good understanding of international student recruitment in higher education. Project and budget management skills are essential, as well as excellent communication skills and cultural sensitivity.
This role will include up to 12 weeks per year of overseas travel per year to deliver in-country recruitment activity.
The Department of Global Engagement brings together a range of expertise to support the University’s vision to be a globally leading university that connects knowledge and cultures across national borders. The Department leads on and supports overseas student recruitment, student and staff mobility, research opportunities, and international partnerships.
You will be responsible for designing and delivering student recruitment plans for a number of designated markets, to meet targets. You will research your markets and develop data driven, budgeted recruitment plans on the basis of your research. You will deliver overseas recruitment activity, support recruitment agents, develop positive relationships with schools and partner organisations and provide quality market intelligence. You will also contribute to cross-team projects with a range of colleagues across the team and wider University, to enhance operational and strategic competitiveness.
We’re one of the best not-for-profit organisations to work for in the UK. The University’s Total Reward Package includes a competitive salary, a generous Pension Scheme and annual leave entitlement, as well as access to a range of learning and development courses to support your personal and professional development.
We build teams of people from different heritages and lifestyles from across the world, whose talent and contributions complement each other to greatest effect. We believe diversity in all its forms delivers greater impact through research, teaching and student experience.
