The University will be replacing the University Payment System (UPS) and as a result we will need to review of the employment status of all individuals and sole traders providing services to the University, before payments can be made. As well as payments for services we will also review some stipend and bursary payments.
The changes are expected to increase the number of status reviews in excess of 1,500 per annum.
The Role
You will be responsible for the day-to-day review of employment status requests, as well as responding to the common technical queries from departments, etc.
You will also undertake the administration of employment status reviews of individual/sole traders, issue and extend Tax Clearance Numbers (TCNs) as well as update supplier records within the supplier (APEX) database and the Employment Status database.
You will be required to undertake general team administration including running and/or obtaining reports from the Employment Status database and finance systems to help proactively manage risks.

This role would usually be based at Greenwich House, however the Finance Division is currently trialling hybrid working, with two days a week from Greenwich House. This arrangement is currently temporary.
Funding for this post is available for 18 months.
Once an offer of employment has been accepted, the successful candidate will be required to undergo a basic disclosure and a security check.
