Location: College Lane Campus, Hatfield

Main duties and responsibilities

This role will involve a significant amount of admissions administrative work. Processing applications, conducting credibility interviews, and supporting the administrative processes to convert students to UH.

As Deputy Head of International Recruitment (UK and China), you will report directly to the Head of International Recruitment, while being given strong autonomy over the planning and implementation of activity in the region, including the line management of country managers and relevant reports.

You will take operational responsibility for delivering the University's corporate international agenda within the region, with the primary purpose of this role to develop and manage the sales / recruitment channels; delivering against agreed international student recruitment targets for the territory. You will be expected to travel extensively to the region, spending typically up to 16 weeks a year overseas and may be expected to work evenings and weekends.  

Skills and experience required

You will need to have a successful track record of working in international student experience and have knowledge of relevant admissions and CRM systems to assist international recruitment.

Experience of identifying and developing new markets and approaches for student recruitment is essential as well as experience of working in a sales in both a commercial and public sector environment.

A proven track record of developing international partnerships, including the effective development and implementation of international strategies.

Qualifications required

Hold a minimum of a degree, or equivalent qualification, or substantial experience of international student recruitment.

The successful candidate will be a fluent in mandarin – speaking, listening, writing and reading.
