Global Partnerships plays a key role in the implementation of the International objectives of the University and supports the academic Schools in the development of partnerships that primarily focus on learning and teaching collaborations as well as broader development of the partnership to include research, social impact and student / staff mobility. Global Partnerships provides support for a range of partnership types including, articulations, joint awards, double degrees, student mobility, pathways and offshore delivery of degree programmes.
Africa is a key growth region for higher education, for recruitment, for research, for TNE and for capacity building in regional higher education. The University also has an extensive history of research activity in the region with a focus on social impact, aligning with the University’s vision to be an institution that transforms lives globally. The University also has a far-reaching alumni community in the region, many of whom occupy leadership positions in the public and private sectors, particularly in the energy field. The University of Dundee has also experienced exponential recruitment success in region since the 21-22 academic session, with the potential to expand our footprint in future. Consequently, we seek a new Africa Projects Manager to work in the Global Partnerships Team, working closely with the University ! 19;s Afri ca Lead, and Director of RIS to undertake exploratory activity to accelerate Dundee’s research, partnership recruitment, TNE and social impact in Africa.
We are seeking an experienced and self-motivated leader with an academic background and proven project management skills, with a track record of successful delivery in Africa. The role will include working closely with staff, students and stakeholders at all levels both internally and externally. The postholder will need to demonstrate the flexibility to work across territorial boundaries in order to extend activities across all service providers, academic schools and partner institutions. In addition, the postholder will support the University strategically, providing senior level expertise and support on its ambitions in Africa.
