Do you have, or could you quickly develop, a sound understanding of the opportunities and challenges for Life Scientists across the global labour market?
Would you like to work as part of a busy Careers Service within a multi-faceted institution?
The University of Cambridge Careers Service is seeking to appoint a full time Careers Consultant.
The role holder will primarily be responsible for providing careers education, advice and guidance to PhD candidates and Postdoctoral Research staff with a focus on those in the Life Science disciplines.
The role involves working with a broad range of colleagues across the Collegiate University and beyond, with the role holder providing the expertise, experience, and tools to help shape activities designed to support individuals' career development.
The ideal candidate will be fascinated by the evolving Labour Market, excited by the possibilities presented by digital delivery, and an excellent communicator capable of building and sustaining relationships across the Collegiate University and beyond.
Previous experience of careers work in a Higher Education setting, experience of graduate recruitment or similar professional experience is essential. Evidence of understanding the particular challenges faced by early career researchers would be a distinct advantage.
