The Role
We are looking to recruit a Head of Programme Administration to provide strategic leadership and management of the Programme Administration function within Academic Registry.
As part of the Senior Management Team within the Academic Registry, you will contribute towards strategic planning to meet service and organisational aims. The successful candidate will play a major role in development of the wider team to ensure delivery of an outstanding service.
This exciting role is an excellent opportunity to lead this critical area of the University’s activity.
The Team
Programme Administration is a centralised team with two distinct areas; the Programme Admin team manages assessment processes and the student academic record for both on-campus students and those at our international partners. The Placement Admin team administers mandatory placements for Health and Education provision.
The Person
We are looking for someone with extensive knowledge and experience of the management and delivery of academic administration within Higher Education and will have drive and enthusiasm for working in this environment.
We are also looking for someone who aligns with the University Values and is passionate about our strategic ambitions.
We are looking for someone who has evidence of working at a senior level with a collaborative leadership style; a track record of developing high performing teams and motivating and inspiring others to achieve results by communicating clear aims and objectives.
The Offer
As well as a competitive salary, you will join an inclusive and supportive culture based across two campuses. We work within a generous agile working policy; requiring you to work 60% of your time on campus and the remainder from home.
We offer a large set of benefits, including a generous pension scheme, health cash plan, discounts on bus and rail fare as well as car hire.
For those candidates with family, our maternity, paternity, shared parental leave and adoption policies offer enhanced pay. We also have a wonderful on-site nursery available to pay via salary deduction and salary sacrifice.
Our on-site gym within City Space, gives our staff the opportunity to benefit from discounted rates and access to the latest equipment and classes.
Finally, we also have an amazing selection of staff networks which support staff in various areas; LGBTQ+, Family, Women, Disability, BAME, Carers and more. They are chaired and facilitated by staff and are both a supportive mechanism and platform for change within the University. The University recently implemented the Family network proposal for additional paid leave for parents of Neonatal/Premature babies.
