Summary of the role
The Department of Clinical and Biomedical Sciences wishes to recruit a Postdoctoral Research Associate to support the work of Dr Sam Hughes. This Academy of Medical Sciences funded post is available from April 2023 until July 2024.
The post holder will perform studies of experimental pain states alongside immersive virtual reality and will involve using multiple experimental techniques: functional MRI, psychophysics and neurophysiology in healthy participants. Duties will include recruitment, data collection, processing, analysis and writing of research reports. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to champion individual experiments from inception through to publication.
