Salary: Band D £31,931-£34,709 to Band E £39,748-£44,166 per annum (dependent on skills & experience)*

*A Specialist Allowance of up to £3,000 per annum is also available for this role.

We are looking for electronics engineer to design, develop and test electronics for both ground and space based scientific instruments and test equipment. The post is based within the RAL Space Imaging Systems Division Electronics Design Group. We build electronic systems for spaceflight and hence quality is paramount in our work.
Working closely with the Instrument science team and engineers you will be well organised, flexible, adaptable and have a good understanding of electronic engineering to allow an innovative approach to the mission challenges.
Having the ability to work effectively within a team over all stages of the design cycle and often across multiple projects at the same time forms a key part of the role. This provides exciting career opportunities and allows you to have project responsibility from the outset within a close supporting framework. Recent programmes have been on Lunar and Mars landers along with Earth and Solar observation missions.
