Applications are invited for a permanent post of a Lecturer/Assistant Professor of Global History within School of History.
The School of History is seeking to appoint a Lecturer/Assistant Professor to a permanent post in global history since c. 1750. The School has recently expanded its teaching provision in global history and offers a Global Studies pathway as part of the four year BA programme and an MA in Global History.
The successful candidate will play a key role in developing these teaching initiatives and providing leadership in Teaching & Learning, alongside pursuing their research projects.
The School particularly welcomes applications from global historians working on one or more of the following themes: race, gender, environment, migration, labour, capital, colonialism and anti-colonialism, and religion; and with a focus on one of the following regions in their global context, including knowledge of relevant languages for research: Africa, Latin America, East Asia, South Asia, and the Middle East.
The successful candidate:
95 Lecturer/Asst Professor Above The Bar (7943) Salary Scale: €59,370 - €94,015 per annum
Appointment will be made on scale and in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelines
