Hours of work Your required hours of work are 40 hours per week. The business operations are Mon-Thurs, 9am - 9pm and Fri - Sun, 9am - 6pm

The Role

We are recruiting an experienced Lecturer within the School of Business and Enterprise. The appointee will be required to design, develop, and produce learning and teaching material and deliver either across a range of modules or within a subject area.

The role has ultimate responsibility for ensuring that a group of students undertaking a specific module or unit engage with the module, fulfil their potential in terms of achievement of learning outcomes and enjoy a high-quality student experience.

It will require you to be responsible for delivery of an average 15-18 hours of teaching per week as part of a semester/block programme. Actual teaching load will vary from week to week depending on the teaching requirements. During timetabled teaching time you will:

  • Deliver/facilitate teaching sessions in line with the approved programme and module specifications and set required assessments.
  • Work in line with Regent Digital provisions including VLEs and MS Teams.
  • Ensure that students are actively engaging in their sessions and drive achieving the KPIs as set by Regent.
  • Maintain attendance registers for teaching sessions and work with the attendance team to ensure the accuracy of the information being entered for students on digital registers.

The Candidate

The successful applicant should have

  • Master’s degree in a relevant subject area and Eligibility for Fellow status under the Advanced Higher Education Professional Standards.
  • In-depth understanding of own specialism to enable the development of teaching material and new knowledge and understanding within the field.
  • Competent in technologies and software programmes/packages that are relevant to the subject area including various VLE Platforms.
  • Experience of teaching, curriculum development and quality management and enhancement in an HE environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and able to communicate complex and conceptual ideas to a range of groups.
  • Ability to engage in activities associated with promotion, marketing, and public outreach of the subject area.
