Swansea University seeks to make two appointments at Lecturer or Senior Lecturer level in Geography, whose research interests would complement and strengthen the excellent work of one or more of our research groups and enrich our teaching delivery and portfolio of degree programmes. Applicants will be undertaking highly impactful research beyond academia and conducting research that advances the frontiers of at least one of the following three areas:
The successful candidate will be expected to deliver teaching at undergraduate and contribute to the delivery of our postgraduate schemes, with our portfolio currently including the MSc Geographic Information and Climate Change and MSc Environmental Drone Remote Sensing.
The successful candidate will be employed on an enhanced research career pathway and will be able to demonstrate an excellent research trajectory, having evidence of working collaboratively in a vibrant and interdisciplinary research environment. They will actively engage with and enhance our research groups: Geography Research and Impact - Swansea University. Alongside research excellence, the post requires high-quality student-centred teaching and a commitment to enhancing the overall student experience at undergraduate and postgraduate levels (taught and research), to equality and diversity, and a contribution to academic administration and management within the Department, School or Faculty.
