About the Role
The School of Politics and International Relations is pleased to announce that we are seeking up to two exceptional candidates to take up the position of Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Politics/International Politics (Teaching and Scholarship).
The postholder will contribute to teaching and scholarship within the School, Faculty and University and
play a lead role in enhancing the School’s pedagogical practices. We are particularly interested in candidates with experience and expertise in student engagement, academic skills and writing development, and assessment and feedback. They will work with a diverse community of colleagues and students to deliver excellent teaching and Scholarship in the fields of Politics/International Politics.
About You
You have a PhD in Politics / International Relations or a related discipline and the ability to deliver teaching and assessment to undergraduate and postgraduate students. You have relevant teaching experience and a demonstrated interest in pedagogy and the wider student experience. You will have an understanding of the opportunities and challenges involved in teaching a diverse student cohort.

The post is based at the Mile End Campus in London. It is full time permanent appointment with an expected start date of September 1st 2023. The starting salary for Lecturer will be Grade 5, in the range of £45,931 - £56,921 per annum inclusive of London Allowance, and the starting salary for Senior Lecturer will be Grade 7, in the range of £60,128 - £67,139 per annum inclusive of London Allowance.
