The Global Development Institute (GDI) is looking to recruit a new lecturer in politics and development to further enhance its research and teaching in this area of global development.
This post is intended to enhance the GDI’s research and teaching capacity in politics and development, with a particularly focus on GDI’s new BSc Global Development. Applications are welcomed from appropriately qualified candidates in all areas of politics and development. This can include applications from candidates that can help to consolidate our existing expertise (e.g. in political economy, industrial policy, social policy, state capacity, land, natural resource governance etc.) and/or from those who can expand our portfolio in new directions. We would particularly welcome applications from academics with expertise on the politics of gender in the global South.
Applicants must have a PhD in development studies, with a particular focus on politics, an emerging record of research success demonstrated through good research publications and good experience of teaching and supervision, ideally at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
