This position offers an exciting opportunity to join Lincoln Law School as a Lecturer in Law on the Teaching and Research pathway. This post offers an excellent opportunity for a successful applicant to commence or develop their career in Higher Education. The Law School has research strengths in criminal law and criminal justice, international law and international human rights and environmental law and ecological justice. Priority will be given to applicants with interests in these areas of research, though it would be pleased to receive applications from those with research interests in any area of law. The teaching needs of the School presently lie in the areas of the law of tort, legal systems and skills, public law and commercial law (particularly domestic and international sales law and international trade law). The successful applicant will be expected to offer teaching in at least two of these areas. The successful candidate may also, in due course, have the opportunity to offer some postgraduate teaching and also to develop skills in postgraduate research supervision.

This is an opportunity to join a fast-growing, collegiate and friendly Law School. The School has substantially improved its research performance in REF 2021 and maintains an excellent reputation for the quality of its teaching and student experience. In the future, the School aims to build on these successes to further develop and improve its research performance, teaching and student experience. This position will offer an opportunity for the successful applicant to play a role in the development of the School at this important juncture in its development. The environment in the School is supportive and personal development is encouraged. The School is able to offer some financial support for research and scholarly activity undertaken by its staff. The School and College of Social Sciences have an active programme of research events, seek to support researchers in the development of funding bids and the building of external networks.

The University of Lincoln was named Modern University of the Year in The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide, 2021 and in the same year, named one of the world's greatest young universities in the Times Higher Education Young University Rankings.
