We are seeking a Research Study Manager to be part of an interdisciplinary team of scientists and clinician researchers studying psoriatic arthritis (PsA). You would oversee project management and data co-ordination for a number of research studies within the Oxford PsA Centre (Ox-PACE), providing a unique opportunity to be involved in all stages of a research project’s life. You would be based within the Nuffield Department of Orthopaedics, Rheumatology and Musculoskeletal Sciences (NDORMS) at the Botnar Research Centre, Oxford.
As Research Study Manager, you will facilitate monthly meetings between all sites, liaise with individual sites on a regular basis, and provide quarterly updates on project progress to all project stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of project goals. You will assist individual sites with relevant ethical approvals and help coordinate study records. You will provide leadership in study-related data/organisation matters, and may oversee junior members of project staff.
You will have a degree in a biomedical or associated subject, or other relevant qualification/proven experience in clinically related research. You will have an understanding of research methodology, ethical approvals for clinical studies, and data protection/handling, as well as excellent interpersonal/communication skills and experience in interdisciplinary teams. You should be able to demonstrate high standards of accuracy and flexibility in dealing with changing priorities. Previous experience as a project manager and ability to contribute ideas for new research projects is desirable.
This is a full-time fixed-term appointment for 48 months. A part time appointment with a minimum of 0.6 FTE will be considered.
A lower grade offer may be made (Grade 6: £29,176 - £34,804 p.a.) with commensurate reduction in responsibilities (and amendment in job title to Research Coordinator) if a suitable candidate cannot be found to fill the Grade 7 position.)
