About us
A highly motivated and experienced individual is being sought to take on the role of Institute Finance Lead and Manager of the Research Department of Primary Care and Population Health (located at our site at the Royal Free).
The post is based within UCL Institute of Epidemiology and Health Care which is comprised of 250 staff, 100 research students and 200 taught and undergraduate students. The Institute has an extensive history of national and international interdisciplinary collaborations and a large portfolio of international research.
About the role
The post holder will be a key member of the Institute’s Professional Services leadership team and will be responsible for the financial affairs of the Institute at both the strategic and operational level. The post holder is also required to undertake site-specific or department-specific administrative responsibilities.
The candidate will be educated to degree level (or equivalent) or have acquired substantial relevant experience. They will also have experience of working in an administrative role that carries responsibility in an academic or health-related institution.
This is an open ended full time role (1.0fte) available from April 2023.

About you
The post holder will be responsible for ensuring that a comprehensive and effective service is provided across the Institute for all aspects of finance administration, facilitating the effective coordination and management of financial information.
They will play a key role in the financial management of a highly successful and dynamic Institute, as well as benefiting from the opportunities afforded by being part of the larger financial and administrative community of the Faculty of Population Health Sciences
They will be a highly self-motivated and hard working individual who will also supervise other members of the Professional Services team, with an ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and promote good working relationships amongst a team.
