About the Role
The School of Electronic Engineering and Computer Science at Queen Mary University of London is looking to recruit a Postdoctoral Research Assistant to support projects in the Networks group. The research is sponsored by Cisco Systems and is focused on developing methods to use temporal networks to study fraud in cryptocurrency networks.
About You
Applicants must have a PhD in a relevant discipline with mathematical skills (e.g., Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics and Electronic Engineering). Good data analysis and programming skills, alongside experience with conducting research and writing academic papers are essential. Good python skills would be desirable, as well as knowledge of complex networks research, particularly temporal networks and knowledge of blockchain.

The post is based at the Mile End Campus in London. It is a full time (35 hours per week), fixed term appointment for 12 months, with an expected start date of 1st June 2023 or as soon as possible thereafter. The starting salary will be Grade 4, in the range of £37,348 - £41,386 per annum (pro-rata) inclusive of London Allowance.
