The School of Art and Design is seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and ambitious MA Design Management lecturer to cover a maternity period of twelve months.

The successful candidate will lead in the content development and delivery of teaching, learning and assessment on this postgraduate programme, coordinating activities with support staff and alongside the wider postgraduate provision.

Applicants should demonstrate a wide range of creative practice, with evidence of engagement of HE teaching in an appropriate context and ideally supporting a high standard of learning across the creative industries.  They should have a proven track record of leading and delivering a first-class student experience within Higher Education. Experience of education innovation would be advantageous. 

Candidates should be able to demonstrate an impressive engagement of work and/or professional creative practice. The post-holder should be actively engaged in research, professional creative practice and/or income generation and must have a proven track record of exploring new and emerging modes of practice and scholarship.

Applicants should be qualified at least to Masters Level (or of equivalent professional status) and be able to confidently discuss and frame discussion and debate in contemporary design management culture.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate high level digital fluency and a continuing engagement with professional, scholarly and pedagogic development. Those without a teaching qualification will be required to undertake Coventry University’s PGCAP or secure a HEA fellowship.
