This post is full time and has funding for up to 1 year in the first instance.
In this role, you will contribute to a project ‘Electrochromic Thin Films’ working with Dr. Emily Draper and Prof. Dave Adams (School of Chemistry). This work is funded by an EPSRC Impact Acceleration Account. The project focuses on preparing and developing organic based electrochromic thin films to be used as coating on glass or on flexible substrates. The candidate will look at different coating techniques and methods of preparing the thin film devices. Once made, the films will be tested for robustness, stability, cyclability and other vital properties as determined by the industrial collaborators. Furthermore, the successful candidate will work with the industrial partners into transferring the technology into an industrial setting.
