Required as soon as possible, we are seeking to appoint a Science Technician in the senior school for 38.25 hours a week during term-time plus some additional days worked in the holidays (36 weeks per year total).
The Science faculty consists of 21 laboratories with most of them dedicated to a specific subject. The technical team consists of six technicians and a team leader. The position involves working alongside the existing technicians providing laboratory support for the teaching of IGCSE, Internationale Baccalaureate (IB) and A level Science subjects.
Teamwork is an essential part of the role and while the successful candidate will likely be based in one department, over time they will be expected to move to others to gain further skills and help provide a flexible service. Please note that full training will be provided.

It is essential that the applicant has a scientific background, but no previous experience of the job is required as full training will be provided. The successful applicant will be joining an experienced team.

We would welcome applicants with interest in Biology, Chemistry and Physics. Since the technical team provides a flexible service, a willingness to learn new techniques across three Sciences in the fullness of time is essential.
