These posts are based within the Respiratory Theme of the Nottingham Biomedical Research Centre (BRC), part of the £23.3M NIHR BRC.
The Clinical Research Fellows appointed to these three posts will perform translational research studies in lung diseases, each working on a defined project: one in COPD, one in Lung Fibrosis / Rare lung disease and one in Bronchiectasis.
The Clinical Research Fellows would be expected to register for, and undertake supervised research towards, a higher research degree (PhD/research DM) on the University of Nottingham’s well-established, highly successful nTRANS Doctoral Training Programme.
All tuition fees will be covered by the Nottingham Respiratory Biomedical Research Centre.
The Clinical Research Fellows will ideally have completed core medical training and ideally obtained MRCP(UK)/MRCP(CH) or equivalent. They will be expected to plan and conduct work using approaches or methodologies and techniques appropriate to the type of research and will be responsible for writing up their work for publication.
Applicants should have excellent IT skills, good team working skills and able to work flexibly.
The posts will be offered on a fixed-term contract for three years from 1 August 23 or earlier. Hours of work are full-time (38.5 hours); however applications are also welcome from candidates wishing to work part-time (minimum 23.1 hours per week).
