Following internal promotion, an opportunity has arisen to join the School of Future Transport Engineering as a Lecturer in Aviation Management.
The Ideal Candidate
The successful applicant will contribute teaching on our CILT accredited BSc Aviation Management and MSc Air Transport Management degree courses.
We are especially interested in applicants with appropriate academic or industrial experience in any of the following areas –
Project Management experience or qualifications (or a willingness to obtain these) with a view to teaching these skills within the aviation course portfolio may also be advantageous.
You will also supervise dissertations and students on industrial placement.

You will be expected to undertake curriculum development, design and delivery of teaching that is engaging, innovative and responsive, that achieves excellent student learning outcomes. You must be willing to work flexibly to promote and support international partnerships, as well as potentially deliver teaching onsite at one of our international partners.
This position is a teaching focused post that will attract candidates that wish to focus on pedagogic practice, curriculum development and course management. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to conduct relevant commercial activity.
The candidate should be qualified to PhD level in a relevant subject area or have comparable industrial experience. Experience of working in professional educational practice/consultancy projects, as well as experience of working on applied research projects, will be advantageous.
