An opportunity has opened up for an enthusiastic and proactive individual to join our Procurement Team at a senior level.
Exciting, challenging and diverse; the role of Senior Procurement Manager (Capital Projects) is instrumental in delivering the University's ambitious Campus Master Plan, which includes a diverse pipeline of activity centred around the Estates and Facilities Category of spend.
Reporting directly into the Head of Procurement, you will bring extensive Category knowledge to the role, which you will use to support the University in achieving value for money, whilst managing supply chain risks.
Tendering activity as part of the role will support how the University campus is shaped for the future, alongside the maintenance of the existing estate.
The role sits within a Procurement Team that supports the University and it's Subsidiaries with a truly diverse portfolio of spend. The Procurement Team is positioned as a respected enabler, supporting the University in delivering against its strategic goals, which incorporates sustainability as an embedded principle across all activity.
We are looking for a confident and experienced procurement professional, who will bring knowledge and expertise relevant to the role. Adept at stakeholder management you will build on the existing strong relationships relevant to the role.
Supported by a Procurement Analyst, the role requires a procurement professional who is competent at tendering and can lead by example. You will also be comfortable delegating and mentoring in a way that supports in building resilience within the team.
You will work alongside a team of Procurement professionals with a wealth of experience gained from a mixture of sectors. We work to a Category Management model, are passionate about Higher Education and place students at the heart of everything we do.
